Artwork for the album cover: Watra by Piotr Damasiewicz & Into The Roots
I made this artwork for the album cover Watra. On the polish site kultura ludowa, we can read “Piotr Damasiewicz is back with Into the Roots. He connects highlander culture with jazz and world music. He invited members of the bands Mała Ziemia Suska and Ziemia Suska to participate in the project. The musicians referred to the tradition of music-making in a highlander cottage, as it traditionally takes place, and combined it with a jazz club, where jamming is natural. Music from the vicinity of Babia Góra has been integrated with jazz and the sounds of the world. ” In this composition I combined elements of surrealistic landscape with some abstract symbols illustrating sounds, there is a motif of a lily- characteristic for the Highlanders area of Babia Góra
